Fender American Std Stratocaster HSS – Versatile Beauty

Hey everybody, this is Bob from musicstorelive.com. Today we’re taking a look at a Fender American Standard Stratocaster HSS. This is the model with the humbucker in the bridge and two single coil pickups. It’s an alder body guitar that’s very warm. It’s really resonant sounding, with a maple neck with the Fenders modern C profile, and the maple fretboard.

The Fender HSS Standard Strat Does It All

The trem system on these guitars is wonderful. It’s really smooth action. I’ll give you a little example here, and it comes right back into tune. For pickups, we’ve got two single coils and a humbucker here. Here’s the neck. Move in one using both the neck in the middle pickup. Just the middle pickup. One in from the bridge is kinda like your quacky sound. Here’s the bridge position, so you can hear that humbucker clean. This is the Fender Diamond Back. All right we’re going to switch over to the Paul Reed Smith amp and we’re gonna get a little bit of gain thrown on to the signal.

Thanks a lot for taking a look at the Fender American Standard Strat HSS. We will see you next time.

The HSS American Strat Meets the Needs of Pro Musicians

Hi there! I’m Marc Lucas with N Stuff Music.com.

Today we have a Fender American Standard guitar in a new color for 2013. This is called mystic blue. It’s very nice instrument, like all Fender guitars, and let me explain all the features.

We have a two-point tremolo with bent steel saddles. The body is made of alder wood. Also keeping in line for 2013, as a continuation of 2012, we have Fender Custom Shop Fat 50s pickups in the neck and in the middle, and this is what is called a Fender Diamond Back in the bridge pickup. It’s a humbucker, all wired to a 5-way switch; one volume, two tone controls. The neck is available in either rosewood or maple. This is a rosewood neck, as you can see, nine and a half inch radius, medium jumbo frets. It has a bi-flex truss rod, so the rod works in both directions. We have their modern, Schaller type tuning gears, the skunk stripe down the back. We have a 4 bolt neck adjustment with a micro tilt to fine-tune the action also.

Let me play through some of the sounds for you. Next we’ll go to our overdrive section today we’re using an MXR Carbon Copy analog delay and also, a John Sure Shiba Drive pedal for the overdrive. So here we go with that.

So there you have it. The Fender American Standard Strat in a new color for 2013 which is called mystic blue. It’s available at N Stuff Music .com and it also comes with a high-quality hardshell case.

So thanks for coming to see us today at N Stuff. My name is Marc Lucas. As always, we appreciate your business and your comments and we look forward to serving you.

Thank you.
